How do you about asking for a new AFF manager?

So basically my affiliate manager isn't very good. I ask questions or have issues with tracking that need to be resolved and he says he will look into it for me. But then I never hear anything back from him. I'm not a small affiliate, either ... so I would think this AFF manager would want my business.

But on the other hand, I don't want piss him off and then he sabotages or jeopordizes my business with their company.

So how have you guys handled this without getting screwed over by your AFF manager in some way?
 


ask to be switched. done deal.
any sane business won't sabotage your relationship with them.
if your issues still aren't resolved, get another network (easier) or go direct.
 
Hands down if you're not getting what you need from your AM get the number for the network and get a new one. If you're doing any kind of volume at all they won't hesitate to facilitate whatever your needs are.

If they don't - leave the network. There are several that have very good AMs. Chris R at Motive is awesome, as are the guys from Ads4Dough.

i had this problem to a few months ago. no good way to go about it, just ask. say something polite like "i would like to request a new affiliate manager because our timeframes seem to be off" (aka he/she doesn't respond to your emails)
 
This is business. Period. You don't like your AM ask for a new one. Networks should never hold that against you.
 
no one will hold it against you if you asked for someone new. We all know that different personalities sometimes dont mix well and is not productive.

Unfortunately it seems like there are a lot of in-sane businesses in this space. Ive had various issues getting AM's changed.

Whatever you do, someone is going to be pissed if you request an AM change, but who cares. You need to do whats best for you.

Personally I like to find an AM that I do like, ask them if they are willing to take me as an affiliate and then contact the AM manager to ask for the switch. Unless something really bad happened DON'T throw your old AM under the bus. Simply tell the manager of the AM's that you feel such and such other AM is a better fit for you and can better help you grow your business.

I would recommend not even brining it up to your current AM.

I suggest you contact a higher up in the network about the issues you're having. And, request that they appoint an new AM that's more consistent & can handle your needs.
 
I'm an aff mgr at Media Whiz (monetize it) and I agree 100% with what everyone is saying.

Bad business doesn't help anyone.

I'm sure this guys boss would want you to ask for someone more capable and eager to help you out and see if your business can grow.
Try to find out his bosses name/contact info and ask him directly.

If I were you, I'd try to find similar offers at another network and test them out. If that doesn't work, contact someone other then your am at the original network and ask if you can get another am. My opinion is if an employee of a network is not treating you with respect it's better to just try and find another network rather then working it out with some other am. If it starts happening to other affiliates, someone will do something about it but it won't be because of you. There are so many networks that you can be pretty picky about who you want to deal with.

I think this is the best suggestion, no ones going to be pissed if you say something like that.
