He builds his "muse" (Positive Cash Flow Generating Business) similar to a positive campaign. He works like a dog to build it at first and then sets it to auto pilot, which is why he only works 4 hours a week managing it.

Read the book.

I've read the book, and listened to the audiobook so I know what he does.

The philosophy of "work 8 hours to keep up and work another 8 to succeed" is the opposite of my (and Tim's) philosophy, which is what I was pointing out.

Then please elaborate on yours (and Tim's) philosophy. Im sure a lot of people here would benefit from a few pointers.

1) Wake up

2) Take caffeine and adderall

3) Do everything that needs doing

4) Profit...

There's no real schedule. I try to have 3 main goals for the week, and then daily lists. I try to focus 40% of my time to things that directly increase my profit like getting more traffic or increasing conversions. The other 60% is reading/learning, admin, testing, building infrastructure, talking to ppl.

I try to get the energy intense stuff done in the morning (adcopy, making new creatives, etc). I save a bunch of mundane work for when I have low energy and feel like a walking zombie (checking stats, setting up tests, reading WF).

They're just working to get enough money do to whatever they want to do that's not job related (like traveling, fucking hookers, doing drugs, climbing etc), and not just to get money. Essentially. And since they're clear about what they want to do, they know how much money they need to get.

And then they save a little money on the side.

For instance, with the amount of money that some affiliates are making, they have more than enough to do everything they wanted and then some, unless all they wanted to do was make money.
