4 years if you live in a decent but small condo, eat local food/drink, and just splash out on a nice restaurant/night out weekly. This means eating rice with most meals which takes some getting used to, but if you like Asian food it shouldn't be too hard.
If you want to be buying brand clothing and western foods/drink all the time, and live in a really nice condo it will last 2 years. Basically it is a similar price to the west if you want home comforts as imported foods and drink are more expensive, which soon cancels out the lower living expenses like rent.
If you live like the locals it could last you 10 but thats not easy.

5-6 years, provided you are investing that money and seeing a modest return. If you're living it up in bangkok you can still very easily make it 4 years on 50k EUR with no investment return. People saying 2 years mean LIKE A KING for real (e.g massages every single day)

If you stick to the cheaper countries and live normal (single room with AC instead of villa etc) I would say around 4 years. This does not include hookers or daily drinking by the way.
That's about a 2 year budget for me. I don't rent, I own, but that also involves some regular expenses, not a mortgage as I own free and clear. But all the usual stuff like groceries, electricity, car payment/insurance/registration, gas, furniture, appliances, big screen TV, servants, dog food (two big Alsatians eat a lot), dining out, not much drinking but when I do enjoy a fine wine it is 3X the price in the west, no trannies, power tools, etc.
Truth is you can live cheap if you live like a peasant but it's not that cheap to live well. Many things are way more expensive than in the west. Cars, electronics, wines and spirits, etc, etc have a huge import tax on them. When you live here for a while you naturally want to buy some big ticket items now and then and they are expensive.

I have friends who went from Germany to Indonesia. If you are smart and invest your money into something (gold, silver) you could live for a long time there.

Don't forget about inflation. It's not just a western world thing. We are seeing steady price inflation in Thailand over the last few years. That $1 chicken and rice used to include a drink but not anymore.
You also need to figure out what money you want to hold because even a banana republic like Thailand is seeing a steady strengthening of its money against the USD and Euro. Keeping it all in Euros might mean it shrinks a lot faster than you planned.

Don't be drawn in to the crazy blogs and articles suggesting it's easy to live like a king on peanuts. That will only be the case if you take the time to learn the native language, otherwise you'll be trapped in the tourist economy. As I found out personally, the tourist economy and the native economy are chalk and cheese.
I would personally be uncomfortable slowly churning through 50K and never seeing it again after the couple of years like a king are over.
In your shoes, I think I'd probably invest the 50K in such a way that it could pay for my monthly expenses without dipping in to the savings every month.
Either way, SE Asia was the time of my life. You won't regret life out there.
