For those of you glorifying 0 unread emails, being efficient doesn't necessarily mean you're being effective.
In my effort to be as automated and effective as possible, I use Gmail filtering (pretty much my own custom version of their Priority Inbox system) to filter and label almost all email that probably needs my attention. Recently I've been filtering email I don't care about to auto-delete, which has been godly. It's a nice paradigm shift from "do I need to read this particular email" to "do I need to even receive emails from this sender, and if so, should I classify them?"
