My degree did me well, put me in a position where I was told I was already making too much money for my age and I was overqualified, but due to my age I was unable to get a raise so I quit.

My bachelors treated me well, lemme tell ya.

are you being sarcastic? and what field did you go into? I'm currently going down the college path and still trying to figure out what i want to go to school for. something in business that can be applied/help with being an AM/entrepreneur

Economics Major finished 2 years ago. Got accepted to an MBA for October.... I love school and studying. I want to make enough money to do my MBA and then move to a PhD. I'm currently not far away from my target.......
having a degree is a very important safety net.... things are changing and the trends might change for one day to the next..... If facebook decides to suddenly change their advertising policies.... I cannot imagine how many people will be living in the streets.....
What are you planing on doing with your degree? I'm an economics major, but am not sure where exactly I want to work after school.

Only 1 year left and I'll have my 'first degree' (first in two ways) and all student debts paid off before I'm 21, can't beat that. If you can't balance a degree and the internet then you don't deserve either as there both piss easy.

According to my college, business degree will get you a managerial position and an economic degree will get you into top management. The problem is that I don't see how that work. So I dropped out to sling berries. Now with the berry money coming to a halt, I am not as fucked as I thought I would be. I learned more in 3 months than 3 years in college because I am pushing the limit almost everyday.

was it worth it?

yes definitely.
I had 3 good internships during school, a full-time job in IM/SEO before/when I graduated, and then right after I graduated was made an offer by a successful ad agency to be their interactive media director, at age 23 :)
worked well for me so far

Well... I did business consulting for a while with very good results, but got tired of working for other people. It's not what you do with the degree, but the tools that it gives you to solve difficulties throughout your career.

Personally, I believe in the future, if I might need to work for someone else, that my resume with a degree in economics and self employed for a while has a much stronger weight than without the degree....

For me, the degree helped me put together my thought process to make money......

I studied mathematics (why oh why) and dropped out in my last year of a four year degree (believe it or not def not the stupidest thing I've ever done). Thinking about going back next year to finish it off.

I'm a full time student at Michigan State, but live in San Diego. I moved during my senior year to work at a network, and the rest is history. I can't wait to fucking graduate though, full time job + full time school + Affiliate Shit on the side = 0 free time.

My dad got his PhD in Economics, so I know you'll be set. He's happy making 200k a year, but if you combine your Economic knowledge with networking you can make upwards of 3-4 mil a year, as people in his firm does.

I agree that you should complete college even if you just want to be a entrepreneur. I graduated with a BA in Marketing and a BA in International Business both of which I use everyday doing my own thing.

Its not a waste of time since you are just drinking, hooking up, and partying most the time. These guys are making it out to be some huge expense but once you hit it big with something you can easily pay off your loans. Mine were gone one year after I got out of college. So who the fuck cares, stay in school, get your fallback piece of paper, and have fun.

G.E.D. College is for broke people (followers/employees). Leaders don't need a piece of paper to prove they know what they are doing. Thats what they have bank accounts for.

so nobody hear has ever studied or is planning to study marketing in any capacity? Besides reading, etc.? I find that interesting..
I'm a senior in college graduating this May. I will graduate with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting. I have really good grades and still have no job offers. My girlfriend is a Marketing major and I used to give her shit for it be a "fluff" major but ever since I got into IM I respect it a little more.

Though, she did tell me they covered affiliate marketing for like 10 minutes in all shes taken her entire college career though. So the program is a little behind.

College is an amazingly fun time.

Plus as much as many of the 1 man shows don't want to believe it you be judged in the business world every time someone asks you about your degree and you have to say you don't have one no matter how much money or success you have(unless we are talking 9 figures money). Of course just being a good liar is good enough for that as well.
