I made a resume last week and got hired by a competing agency... Started "work" on Monday...

Just to get a copy of all of their sales material and scripts and quit by 10:30am.

Like a Boss.

And that's why you make new employees sign a non-compete and non-disclosure agreement.

nearly all my consulting clients want to see a resume & work samples upfront.

not like ripping off the ripoff of some scam artist and polluting someone elses property with useless garbage makes for good cv content

Yes, because I understand there may just come a time when that's all I've got left. Being immature and thinking I'm invincible, has burnt me before. I see having a CV up to date as basic risk mitigation.

There was a time when I had a resume......barely made it to the end of the month.

Now I don't have a CV and don't even have a clue how to create one......have an apartment, investments and take vacations twice a year to awesome places.

Just wish I had started way earlier, that's my regret.

Having a resume to me seems far less important than being able to actually write a good job application and subsequently get the job at the interview. Seeing as how I think I've gotten 4/5 jobs I've applied for in my adult lifte, I think I know how to do it.

Great resumes are for those who don't understand the needs of their employer. I probably don't have to tell you that most job applications are written from the 'what's in it for me' instead of 'what's in it for you'. Being able to succintly describe how you solve the firm's problem in a few sentences is ten times more valuable than a resume with lots of bullet points. Seeing as how giving people what they need (or think they need) is the basics of internet marketing, I think you don't need to worry too much about getting a job if you're succesfull at affiliate marketing.
