How much debt do you have?

Then don't get an AMEX or any credit card for that matter and read books on how to manage your finances?

Oh i know, just wanted to know what makes AMEX different, good stuff, i prefer cash everytime..

the funniest shit is when i go out and eat, i take cash out of my wallet, and most people including waitresses are not too used to seeing cash these days...their used to seeing credit cards...to rack up the points

Umm, quite a bit. Student loans along with CC debt incurred while extremely ill and unable to work. Family cast me out and refused to believe I was actually ill so they offered no help. Here is my advice for anyone else screwed over by such a situation: ignore your debt and your credit score. Survival is more important and you will never get ahead in life if you spend all your cash repaying debt for the next 10 years. Save cash and build your AM business, that's the quickest way out of debt. Especially if you can borrow someone else's credit to help the business grow. My debts which once seemed overwhelming will soon look like chump change.

$0

All cards get paid off every month.

Don't spend money you don't have or won't get before the end of the month.
this.

I have personally witnessed the catastrophe of loved ones in debt, and it made an impression on me I can never forget. I have absolutely no debt and pay off all credit cards every month.

AMEX is a charge card, not a credit card, that means they are not offering their customers a revolving line of credit, but rather a short term line of credit like you see in business. Since they don't make any interest on their customers, they make up for it by charging a higher rate to the merchants. This is why a lot of places don't accept AMEX.

I have two car notes, and student loans and a mortgage. As far as a business 0 debt. All the charge cards I use have cash in the bank to cover my amex platinum

I have a mortgage. I technically also have a car loan, but only because it made more sense to get the 0% financing, then to pay cash.

No business debt.

$138.65 balance on a credit card + around $250 unpaid hosting bill due in a couple of weeks + $143.68 outstanding balance in the Adwords account (fuckers charge my card 3-4 times per day, so the balance will probably change soon, but I use a debit card for that).

The worst I've been in was something like $35k+ in credit card debt spread across 14 or so credit cards.

Being in debt sucks balls big time.

$0.00. I've never been in debt and I never will. I don't own a credit card of any kind. I use the bank card for absolutely everything I can't pay with cash with. I have no idea what my credit score is like or if I even have credit at all since I've never been in debt. I've always managed to pay everything outright. I started a local business when I was 12 with $5,000 and it's just been great ever since. Then I got into internet marketing and the money I got from the business was like chump change. I've been very very fortunate in my life even though I came from nothing. No one in my family ever had money. I'm really the first to succeed in the last 100 years.

I am surprised to see that people don't use credit cards for business. I pay pretty much everything through amex. Plum for 2% cash back (Yes, I know it's taxable), Starwood for hotel/travel rewards, and Platinum for points. It adds up to a nice little bonus at the end of every month.

Get one of those secured credit cards and use it for a while. Once you establish cred the training wheels come off and you'll qualify for a regular cc. This is how I did it, and I now get constant junk mail from banks begging me to sign on for a card.
