How Much Does Your Accountant Charge?

by the way, that email response was bullshit. Who gives a flying fuck what they charge in New York. Also the amount of the money the company took in has little to nothing to do with the complexity of the taxes ($800k could be one transaction or $1000.00 could be hundreds of them). To me that response sounds like "you can fucking afford it".
No matter what, if I got a response like that as an explanation for my inquiry into what I was being charged, it would be time for a new accountant. An itemized (by time spent) invoice for a $6500 bill is certainly not unreasonable.
Also for reference I have 2 companies, and my accountant does those, the k1s, and 3 sets of personal taxes for around $1400. I'm fairly organized though.
