join up with payperpost or review me and you can pull in about 150 per week. Currently with writing five paid articles on one of my blogs I am making around 75 per week. The thing is you need to constantly work on it to increase your readers and PR and other score but once you get high enough you start getting paid like $50 per post.

Would it be smart, then, to do adsense for a little while just to earn something while traffic 'gets it up' and then switch to direct ad offerings and hardlinks if you got the PR
N00b question: What do you mean by "direct ads"? Banner ads, or ad links within blog text?
Can somebody recommend some ad networks that do a lot of placements in blogs?
I think affiliate products are where you want to go with blogs. I had no experience in internet marketing, and I started a blog in April, and I'm already making about $400 a month from the one blog just in affiliate sales. Adsense, however, sucks on it, like $5.00 a week. You have to spend hours upon boring hours of submitting to directories and niche-specific forums and web 2.0 sites to get traffic, but it will come.
