I'm looking at buying an aged domain for a travel/tourism site. I've looked at a lot of them.

Examples: (My keyword $=City)

iCity.com - $800 2yrs old (since last drop) I like this one because its brandable
iCity.net/org - Available $11
FindCity.com - $250 8 years old
DiscoverCity2letterStateAbreviate.com - $750 - 7 years old
City(<--keyword)City.com - $1,500 -
CityGuide.org - $500 1 year old
DiscoverCity.net - $800 6 years old

Keyword has a SERP IQ of Medium Hard, what would you recommend?

I like one of the aged domains best because I could probably link build faster. I also prefer .COM for branding.

Make sure to check that they are indexed, and if they have any/how many backlinks.

Make sure you check godaddy auctions!

It doesn't look like icity.net is available but if it is grab that one. Cheap PR3

I have, and several of these are on Godaddy auctions. City was the spaceholder for a keyword.

Well, I don't know jack about aged domains

But it would appear that FindCity.com has the best price-to-age ratio, plus it's a .com

FindCity does have a good ratio. However, I'm wrestling around with how much I actually like it. Do you like the sound of it?

Thanks, I pretty much have. None of these have really been used for sites, mostly just parked with 0 backlinks.

EDIT: FindCity.com isn't showing up in Google for Site: or info: Does anyone know what this means?

It's working for me:

Didn't read the OP, sorry. If it's not showing, then it's not indexed. Try checking archive.org to see if it was indexed in the past.

Okay, nothing shows up in archive.org

Does this mean that the age is worthless since Google never found it?

CityGuide.org
DiscoverCity.net

Just based on the information you gave, and not considering the price (since the ROI is likely to dwarf any upfront cost if you do it right), then I like the two above. They make the most sense.

Don't forget, you could actually snag more than one and 301 them around, especially if one is high PR and has too good of links to pass up, but you like a diff domain name better.
