Let's take a peek into the Crystal Ball of the future.
RLY? I'm 24 now, and I'd say my best years were 21,22 fo sh.
25 fuckin better be gooood.
ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!
If at 24 you are already feeling that several years ago were better than now, the rest of my post might be a little foreboding. Lulz
I hate to break this to you, but you have about 6 years of care free living with your body left.
Once you hit 30 you will notice some small annoying changes. At 35 they will intensify some.
By the time you hit 40 you will KNOW that the party is winding down. LOL
40 to 60 are the ages where most men really come into their own financially. But you really have to start looking after your body and health at 40. It now becomes WORK to stay fit and healthy.
I'm reminded of a line form a country song that goes something like this, "....and the hang-overs HURT MORE than they use to..."!! Lulz
I was a Marine and I use to compete in kick boxing events until I was almost 30. I maintained a svelte fighting weight of 175-185 lb. at 5' 8".
After 30 my sales jobs and travelling demands cut into my training time and I eventually stopped all together. Just too damn busy working. (So I thought. Lulz)
Now 16 years later I am 100 pounds HEAVIER!! EEEKKK!! That equates to around 6.2 pounds a year of weight gain. Or about 8 oz. a month which is only .2666666666667 ounces a day. Kinda hard to notice at first.
Also keep in mind that any injuries you may have sustained when younger WILL come back to cause you pain in your later years. Mine never bothered me in my 20's, but once I hit 30 I started to notice annoying little pains that puzzled me at first. Then as I thought back and about where the pain was coming from I would remember getting injured in that area YEARS ago.
A few years back a met an interesting older gentleman in his 90's. He said something to me that I wish I had heard and BELIEVED when I was a teenager. He said, "The harder you work physically or get injured when you are young, the MORE you will hurt as you age and get older."
His words most certainly ring true for me.
Anyway, you Young Guns enjoy using your
credit of youth while you can, Father Time WILL collect his due later!! Lulz
If you are wondering, I would NOT go back and do things much differently. The MAIN exception would be to have definitely paid MUCH closer attention to my weight as it crept up on me.
Speaking of the weight creeping up thing, I myself am not alone culpable for this state that I am in now. (Though ultimately I am.) My wives, yes I've had a few (Lulz), would tell me that I was worrying TOO MUCH when I would notice the pants being a little tighter or having to buy larger sizes. They would tell me not to worrying about it and that they liked me being a little over weight because it showed them that I was comfortable with them and NOT looking to go on the prowl.
DON'T YOU GUYS LISTEN SUCH BLATANT NONSENSE!!
I've talked to quite a few other guys and some women friends about this. Nine times out of ten if you gain some extra weight the woman you are with will feel less pressure to keep her figure. So, they tell you it is OK so that they can relax and indulge themselves. LOL
Well, enough of my ramblings and WARNINGS!!
P.S. The first time I felt OLD (And only time that I dwelt upon the issue.) was when I was 19. I was reading a Play Boy magazine and for the first time in my life the centrefold girl was YOUNGER than me. She was 18. Up until that time they had always been older than me. Now that I think about it, maybe that's why I have always married older woman. Hmmm......................
