22-26 shoud've been reshaped to 21-25, 26-30. There's a big difference between people graduating or just out of college versus those who've been out long enough to settle in a career.
Just hit 22 in September. Also just hit the "Oh wait, I'm aging after all. I had a feeling I might've been immortal, but now I see that I'm not" moment.
- 21 is not longer ahead of me.
- I don't have that "I'll get my shit together when I'm X" excuse.
- Everything I do that doesn't advance me in some way in life feels like a devastating waste of time, now. I quit all gaming, rarely watch TV. I'm a hungry vortex of self-teaching. I can watch
Ruby on Rails screencasts for fun.
- I'm about to graduate university, which is effectively just a 4-year life procrastination.
- I have a sudden sense of urgency to achieve my goals.
Oh, and life's good. :batman:
My goal is $100/day by the time I graduate in December. Pretty close to it, but my current income is a bit too fickle and turbulent. Once I graduate, I'm going to move to Thailand and vagabond around the earth for a while. Online income is absolutely intoxicating if not divinely inspiring. The possibility of living off income procured from a laptop in an internet cafe is among the most unique characteristics of our era.
