What is Open Office like these days? I tried it some 2 years ago, and it really didn't stick up to MS back then.

I replaced office with openoffice on my father's PC and he had no problems at all, and he's not that computer expert, he just works with Excel
I'm not that advanced user in this kind of applications but as far as it regards basic usage I see no difference
