Hey guys,

this question has been bothering me for months now.
How do you guys keep track of all your web accounts and properties?
I mean emails, usernames / passwords, last updated / posted, etc.

If you manage multiple brands (websites) you soon end up with huge and complex Excel spreadsheets that are useless.
I myself have given up on Excel / different password managers and started writing my own tool for this.

So:
a) What do you use to organize your properties?
b) If there would be tool specifically for this - would you use it?

Well,

I use Last Pass to keep track of all my passwords. However, I use infinitewp.com to control all my wordpress sites.

Interesting, thanks. I use KeePass for passwords (similar to LastPass).

The problem is when you have other platforms than Wordpress:
- social media (fb, tw, yt, pin, myspace, etc.)
- website builders
- other profiles / sites

I'd like to save everything into one app and then track:
- which of them I already updated,
- which do I still need to update,
- which of them do I need to open for another brand I've thought of,
- etc.

Almost something to manage a reputation management campaigns :)

Last Pass does auto login, I don't know if KeePass does this. It allows me to see all my profiles, and select which one I want to log into.

It's really my one stop shop for anything user name or password relate.

You can try basecamp the SAAS ? On another note some guy made a wordpress plugin to replicate basecamp which is also kinda cool and it is only like $30.

On a side note: Can you remember the name of the WP plugin for this?

On topic: I see there is really no software for managing web campaigns.
Most people probably combine a few password managers and Excel spreadsheets, other write their own CRM for it.

going in for this on another approach. Im using roboform for my passwords and use raw and bare bookmarks with folders for plugins. Like it classic :P

I use Basecamp and can't recommend it highly enough. They give a long free trial so you can really get hooked.

I set up forwarded email accounts for most domains and have them redirected to just a few Gmail accounts. Then, I have Gmail automatically label incoming email based on the "to:" field. I run about 10 websites this way.

Well, most of my accounts are with same user id and same password so I don't have to remember much, however, I put all the login info in Google Drive (spread sheet).

I usually create New User on Chrome Browser (new profile) for every client site Web 2.0 properties publishing/posting OR You can say if you have multiple moneysites and wants to manage their Web 2.0 properties accounts separately then simply create New User/profile on chrome of Each and then save logins and password on browser. In this way you'll no need to re-login again nor clear your history. As Chrome will create separate log for each New User/profile you created. Also I'm note down details on Google Drive. If incase OS re-installed, I'can easily get the details from Google drive (spreadsheet).
