Yeah I know! I keep trying to figure out why it reports a low figure like that compared the the stats and logs. Either only that amount of people are using feedpress as an RSS reader, or something is screwed up. For months I relied on that tool thinking it was accurate, but when looking at all of my referrers and traffic stats from two different sources, they totally trump the feedpress numbers. I think I'm just going to remove it, because I don't even use it myself anymore. Thanks for the reminder!

At the level most of us are at, web work is completely anonymous. I can serve up really shit scraper sites, mfa trash, display regurgitated smash ups and the like without worrying about credibility.
If and when you get up to the next level and have a following of sorts, the focus then becomes the relationship with your audience - Mook-Jon, Shoemoney etc. are almost like brands in the industry.
The lesson for me here is before you sell out, you have to hold out. The whorish projects are helpful in allowing the credible projects (ie the ones with a name stamped on them) to blossom into something great before taking an offer you're not 100% happy with just to get by. :yin-yang:
