How to turn a Free* Trial into $200+

I've been researching various CPA offers, as I am in the process of creating my own offer to list on a CPA network.

This was interesting:

I know most of these diet CPA offers are rebills that hit you with $50+ per month...but this one stood out.
So you have the vast majority of people thinking they are going to get a free trial offer of some sort, and
on the next screen they have over $200 in their shopping cart! WOW. I guess the *, is worth a lot of money these days.

I've gone back and forth on that.

No, I don't think any legit business should be adding over $200 to your shopping cart. But, at the same time they have HUGE bold text at the top, and you can clearly see what's in the cart.

So do I really think it's "dirty"? The jury is still out...

/but it's not something I'll be doing.
 
The limited quantities and countdown clock are against Visa/mc rules the shopping cart is just poor presentation or an attempt to confuse the consumer in to buying all the products

The free comment is probably because they ripped some other offer and changes some of it to their terms but missed that. Stupid advertisers just copy others and wonder why they have the same problems.
 
I wonder if anyone accepts such advertisers! I mean, I would just pass on... both as an aff and as a n/w(If I own one)..

Huh? It lists everything right on the LP. It only claims a free bottle on a buy 2 get 1. I'm not sure what the big hoopla is all about. It's probably one of the most honest landers you'll see.
 
Some guy I know was talking about how someone stole his credit card a couple weeks ago. It was most likely phished by aff frauders (they tested the card on something for like $1 and when it worked signed up for acai berry/tooth whitening).

So this guy ends up getting these pills and the ingredients are basically a shit-ton of vitamin C and the equivalent caffeine of two cups of coffee. Which would be fine but the instructions tell you to take five a day. Shit's ridiculous.

Also when he tried to cancel they wanted him to fax a bunch of shit to a guy named Dan and "he'd call him" when he asked for the Dan's phone number the lady was like, "Dan doesn't take calls..." Keep in mind the s/h charge was already charged back by the card company because it was 100% fraud.

You'd think they'd want to make it as easy to cancel as possible considering what's been going on lately. Or AT THE VERY LEAST steer clear of any clear-cut FRAUDULENT charges.
 
For the person who asked do people actually use acai.

I eat fruits and vegetables daily, pomegranate is all you really need and i think has more anti-oxidants than all the superfruits. I did try "actual" acai juice for a few months, it gives you a headache at first, then after awhile it goes away. supposed toxins leaving the body. Overall juice is just koolaid + vitamins. Eat solid fruit, get the fiber!
 
Or perhaps they where using some other definitions of free:

1. relive from, as in "let me free you of some of your money"
2. release, part with a possesion as in "let me free you from your ability to use your credit card because I am going to jack you with so many charges"
3. absolve, let of the hook "let me free you of the responsibility to take care of yourself by taking my magic berries"
4. dislodge as in "let me free up your insides with my magical potion of exotic goodies"

now, you did mention that they used the word trial, which, can also be defined as:an annoying or frustrating or catastrophic event.

So perhaps the Free trial means something like:

"I will give you a complementary a$$ whopping by charging your card and hiding my customer service so you never have a chance of getting any money back again."

To the OP, I wish you the best of luck in getting your offer going. I have been down that road, and for me personally, found it painful. Not "drop the soap in the prison shower painful", but enough that when all the whackiness hit with mastercard and visa, it was rough.
