Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to affiliate marketing.

I found a niche that I have researched and seems like it could do well, however when I signed up for a CJ account and called others none of them have any offers in that niche.

I noticed also that there are no affiliate publisher sites in this niche - which kind of make sense.

So my question is, how do I get some of the manufacturers or resellers to start an offer with CJ?

Or is there a way to work with the manufacturers or resellers without CJ? How would this be done in terms of keeping things honest without a middle man like CJ?

Thanks!

I have heard good things about Azoogle Ads, I just sent them an email to see if they have any offers in my niche.

Thanks.

You can also look up who is selling that stuff online and see if they have their own affiliate program. Many ecommerce sites and services don't work with any of the affiliate networks.

Forgive me if I ask a stupid question but if I go the resellers own affiliate program (I did find a couple by the way) how do I trust them to pay me on a CPA model?

How can I verify that the leads I send them that turn in to sales will be credited to my account with them?

How do you trust the networks? You could always be "cut" somewhere in the middle. You'll have to trust, this is in many cases about trust. Same as leads on the physical life. How do you trust those? Look for other affiliates reviews, comments, recommendations. Go with the one that makes you feel more secure. :)

Yeah, you can do research but who's to say they won't pay with a network as well. Sometimes the network will pickup the slack if you're a huge player, but 9/10 times they won't. A lot of this stuff is about trust and I don't think you should ever send to much traffic to one offer in one month especially right from the start. Let them develop a pattern of paying and slowly develop the relationship over time.

Also, stay away from CJ as they'll do what they can to help the advertiser and could careless if you get paid or not.
