Hows Your Reception With AT&T Wireless?

I just moved from CT to FL. I have both a Verizon phone that I use for personal calls and an iPhone with AT&T and both worked great in CT. Now that I'm in FL, the Verizon phone is barely even usable, I can't get reception in many places at all. The iPhone on AT&T service still works perfectly.

at+t is nothing but dropped calls and shitty reception in any major city. iphone fanbois will defend the reception to death because they don't want to admit they're on the worst provider in the country.

verizon destroys pretty much everyone else for good service, although its gay how they cripple their phones...doesn't realy matter how un-crippled your phone is if you get dropped calls all the time (i haven't had a single dropped call in the 3 years ive been on verizon)

hey cakes, what phone are you using? Ive sworn by verizons network/service for years, its great. Their phones just SUCK! I havent seen one of their phones that actually renders the web properly like the iphone does. Hit me back bro.

so the service is $100/mo?

I figured
voice $39.99 (lowest voice plan)
Data $30
200 texts $5
Total = $74.99 (+ taxes of course)

I don't know exactly but I've heard from my friends who have iPhones with AT&T there is a special iPhone plan that is around $100 that you HAVE to get. You might want to ask to be sure.

It's just their iPhone-specific data plan. It's not much but just annoyingly more than, say, T-Mobile's data plans (I pay both each month since the gf has the iPhone).

i wish i never left verizon for ATT. Reception sucks outside my local area for me, in san fran i had to walk around and find a spot that i could get reception at

i seem to keep hearing this. I had ATT a long ass time ago and hated it, i thought things might have changed. Now if i could just find a phone that renders the web as it actually looks i would stick with verizon. Ive tried the blackberries and the web always looks weird.

I switched from Sprint to ATT because Sprint didn't have a Blackberry worldphone available. Much worse call quality & frequency of dropped calls in the Tampa area. Substantially less coverage when I get into the country or up in north carolina (where I roamed on Verizon when i had Sprint).

:(

Now im wondering if i can just get a blackberry and throw opera on it so it renders the web correctly. That could be problem solved.

Why not just go with T-Mo and the G1? T-Mobile is the shit and the G1 should satisfy just about anything you wanted the iPhone for. I have it and other than less-than-stellar battery life it's pretty cool.

Also, the HTC Magic (G2?) should be out soon (if it's not already) but I'm not sure how well it would work on T-Mobile's 3g.

Plus, i think white's a little...ghey. But that's just me.

The Palm Pre is supposed to be out soon as well.
