Guys,

I received an email yesterday from them
saying:

Hi ,

We’ve had an opportunity to review your account. As you know, we take a look at a lot of different criteria, including your monthly uniques, publishing channels, experience level, and other criteria that we believe gives us a good overall picture of an affiliate. Unfortunately, your traffic is not a good fit for Hydra at this time.

We are hereby terminating our Agreement with you pursuant to the Hydra Network Terms and Conditions, Section 7. You will receive your final payment on or about October 16, 2009.

Thank you for your interest in Hydra.

Now I have got 2 questions to ask:

1. I have been actively working with them over 1 year now.
2.They found my traffic not fit after 1 year ?
3. Is this some kind of a whim they passed on me?

I tried contacting my AM. After 5 calls he eventually picked up the phone.
His voice has completely changed (not his usual jolly self) and said he
cant help.

Is this usual even if you do WH stuff ? Literally it shook me out of my senses after I saw the email. I dint lose much in commissions but lost
a very good business relationship for no good reason. And the worst part
is I took a break for about a month and the account was literally sitting and collecting dust with no significant revenue (about 140 dollars).

Then this termination.

What do you think guys ? Is this a fair practice ? Advise.

There are a ton of networks out there, lots of other great AM's. If your traffic is legit say fuck em and move on.

But considering you got tossed from a network, your traffic probably isn't what your saying it is.

Meh. I've seen worse.
Affiliate.com terminated me for a zip submit on a site I haven't touched in 2 years, and I did a total of 6 leads (if that) in 2 years. "Quality Control".

BALLLLLINNNNNN

LOL.. what a bunch of morons.

Not sure what makes you say this. But if my traffic was not
upto their standards they should have confronted me in the
1st couple of months or at least at the time when I was making
a few grand with them.

But doing it at a time when I am not even using the account
and with no valid reason I find it hard to believe that my traffic
is not legit.

Coincidentally I was running the same offers from the same
niche.Nothing changed. And I was with them for about 1.4 years
now. What I mean to say is - If they wanted me to shut they
could have long back. They did it when they dint need to.As
I was having only 140 dollars as of date.

What makes me say it is you don't typically get booted from a network for no reason. Considering the number of people that have twisted stories to gain WF sympathy in the past, as far as I'm concerned your guilty until proven innocent.

Guys it will be great to know some reliable
networks.I have all legit sites with 2 of
them ranking in the top 5 for a very competitive
niche.

About 70 percent of my traffic comes from SE's
and display advertising.I dont have any more
CPA accounts so I need to get into some.

Pls suggest if you can.

If you read my 1st post sir you would understand
that its NOT sympathy nor anything close is what
I am looking for.

All I wanted to know if this is a fair practice.I have a
decent experience in IM and so far in my full senses
I have not broken the TOS of the company in any way.

I am primarily a SEO person and like I said 70 percent of my
traffic comes from SEO and rest from some social sites and
display advertising.

I think its proof enough that i dont have to do anything
shady. If I did, would my account not get shut much much
before?

And if you looked at the email, they dint specify any reason
other than my traffic is not a good fit for them. Now technically they
are the one having the upper hand since I just looked at the
TOS and clause# 7 says- Hydra Can Terminate Any Affiliate for no reason
at all.

Bitter experience anyway.

what everyone else said. Find a new place and move on. Others will be happy to have you.

It's probably not your traffic, it's probably your lack of volume to how much of your AM's time you consume ratio. They obviously wouldn't want to state that as a reason to close your account and its not a concern for most networks but its still perfectly reasonable. Honestly there are some networks on this forum I do jack shit volume through and am constantly bugging my AMs. I'm sure there'll be some point at which they say enough is enough and drop me, but its not a big deal just grab another one of the hundreds of networks out there.

Guess thats the only way to go now.On retrospect, I think thats
the reason my AM would appear offline to me for days together.

yea I sent Hydra like some hundred leads for an email submit they never paid but I kinda forgot.. one day I couldn't login.. guess account got deleted? didn't bother, too much hassle for few hundred loonies

But its unlike Hydra. I always got paid on time every time from
them.In a way I was happy to work with them so long. But things change
with time.Got to accept and move on.
