Exactly, Americans eat up story, they feel better about themselves to hear other people talk about their issues. She could definitely be a marketeer off of this negative publicity. Lol who was the guy on here trying to profit from the bully niche

You mean make a sex tape? Dude, that's just wrong.

If you don't want people doing stupid / unpleasant things with your photographs, how about not publishing them for all to see / steal / modify on the Internet?

I'm not trying to be all sentimental about this case, I mean I have to admit I've chuckled a few times at potato girl, but I've seen a lot of people have the "well, you did post it on the internet, it's your fault" kind of attitude and I want to know exactly what the thought process is behind this...

Was she supposed to never post a picture online or get her picture taken by friends? Should she have been careful to never end up on anyone's Facebook, including family? I mean the picture was scraped from a support group website....

Now it is the internet, and shit happens, but hell there are roughly 200 millions photos a day uploaded to Facebook alone. Meme stars are pretty much the disluck/luck of the draw (depending on who you are and how you see it - Bad Luck Brian easily could have been offended, yet he flaunted it)

It's pure unfortunate luck for her plain and simple. I just think the idea that, "Well shit, that's what you get for posting a pic online" seems kind of absurd in this day and age. Certainly not Capt'n Hindsight worthy...

Do you know how much money she could make recording custom videos on Fiverr?

I honest to God had never heard of or seen this meme until seeing that news article. Or maybe I had, but probably never took much notice of it.

Now I do. I now also know the person's name, the names of her parents, what she looks like now, what her mother looks like, that she's from Coventry (UK), that she is studying for her GCSEs while doing a hairdressing course and that she has Down's Syndrome.

All this from a single news article, the information in which has been syndicated to thousands of highly visible sources online and which will likely remain on the internet more or less permanently.

For the sake of her future I really hope that this was intentional and that there is a ready-made plan to monetize all this; if not they should come up with one real quick.

That was me, lol. I didn't do anything, should've, guess I'm too old and comfortable. The idea probably still has legs but at the time it was primed with a recent movie out and Obumbles making some public statements on the issue.
