I have just started using Google Adsense today and so far there have been a few clicks but the stats do not display any earnings. Can anyone explain me what's up with that?

Heh

Clicking your own ads much?

That's the only way I've seen clicks with no earnings... had one page where the ads were right at the top, and with Firefox, you use the top to switch tabs... go to click a tab and.... damnit, hit an ad again!

Seriously though - that's the only way I've seen that.

- Q.

what ads are showing on your site? If you just put the ads up they might just be showing public service ads which do not earn you anything.

I have never seen them update money per click though, once you see a click the money tied to that should be what you are going to get paid.

It could be content network ads that they are only bidding a penny or two on and google hasn't added enough fractional cents yet to make a whole one for you.

WOW, tracy i think that might be the most depressing thing I've heard all day. I had to work my ass off to make my first cent.

Its a fact about the content networks bids being lower than that of search. You need to keep that in mind when you are bidding on keywords. I use adwords to promote affiliate stuff myself and I can tell ya the most I ever bid for the content network is $0.05c and I'm not alone.
