So I order some links and send a PM to the service provider.

I give him the URL of my site, keywords, and then write an explanation to him about my niche (let's widgetize it) along with instructions to randomize the anchor text.

In my PM I tell him (paraphrased):

Anchors: widgeting, widget, widgets

Use "widgeting" for the most part, but additionally include "widget", "widgets" if you can.

It looks like the guy understood my instructions and all is going to be well.

Well, today I get the report. And what do I see? Fucking 400 posts with that specific phrase in all of them!

Shit!

Fuck!

I hate fucking morons.

Good thing I didn't PM him something like: Make sure to rotate the titles so Google doesn't fuck me.

Otherwise, that would also probably be included in the posts.

Fuck. And now that retarded bitch wants me to post a review in his thread.

Well then don't try using customer support at Godaddy. They read the first three words of your post, and then refer you to their help section because the problem is only in your head.

Actually, the offer seemed OK. Not a lowball or anything. And during our initial communication, the provider seemed sufficiently coherent. It was a small job too, just for social links.

I think it's just a case of being a fucking retard. If people like that get ahold of xrumer, then the internet is doomed :)

Shit. Just did a Google search for the phrase straight from my PM and already 24 results indexed.

Does G do manual review of backlinks if a site is ever flagged?

Nah. That's just too cruel.
On top of that, of the 400 links he sent in the report, only 192 actually show.
That part would probably be more damaging to the service provider.

Fix what? Remove the "I'm a spammer, please deindex me" posts on all those sites?

Why would you get deindexed? If this gets you deindexed, couldn't you just do it to competitors so you could rise in the serps?

I didn't sense malice in his actions, and I certainly don't think he was trying to rip me off.

In any case, I'll wait to see if he responds to my follow up PM.

I guess not deindexed, but I'm worried about a manual review down the road.
All those posts basically contain instructions on how to spin the anchors for the links.

As for "do it to competitors", there is some evidence floating out there that despite what G says, you can fuck up your competition by spamming their links. Don't know if there is much truth to that. But if I were to try taking down a competitor, that's exactly the kind of shit I would do.
