I hate SEO - A Journal

I also got about 200 additional backlinks overnight, I don't know why. The last time this happened it was because one of my comments was in a recent comments box and was technically on every page I guess. I'm assuming it's the same case here and will go away in a few days.

Had about tweleve hours of downtime due to host dropping. Rookie mistake. Also, I think I need to switch hosting providers. Mine is currently red from web of trust. My site is not red, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it's impacting my rankings.

Small update. This next batch of content will be a lot longer (word wise) than previous batches. My only concerns is how to get the keywords I want into each piece without it going off topic or feeling awkward. We'll see how it goes.

When I started reading SEO it was like going down the rabbit hole. It's still a bit confusing but learning more everyday with regards to what's important and what ACTUALLY makes a difference (versus wasting your time).

Look forward to seeing how you progress and maybe pick up some helpful tips along the way!

Been a few days since I updated. Still working on the iMacro's script, starting to get some search traffic (1-5 hits a day). It's somewhat reasonable given the low traffic keywords I initially selected. Still, I'm getting more hits than I did last month, and I expect next month the site will continue to grow. Only ended up losing about half of those backlinks I got for some reason.

Small update. Started getting some real comments instead of a bunch of spam. Working on my next batch of content now. iMacros was a bit more involved than I thought it was going to be. Should have budged more time towards the project.

Getting closer to having it finished. In the mean time I'm scraping a page or two by hand and gathering more content since I ran out of this batch.
