Im happy to see it gone. I think making it to the "pro bowl" or "all nfl team" or whatever they call it has a lot more weight when there arent 5 layers of alternates making it at any given position.

What you are refering to is some rugby spinoff.

Egghand is much more suitable name for it.

I nominate the pro vs. non pro bowl.

The fans will get to log into twitter/facebook and nominate their know-it-all friends who are armchair quarterbacks who will then compete against the best players in the NFL.
 
I've been in what you would refer as a college professional football team.

For the real football, of course. So, I don't know what you are talking about. I haven't experienced any pain greater than my knee injury.
 
I imagine most of the players don't want to be picked to be in it because it's not worth the possibility of injuries. Football is all about team loyalty so breaking them up and cheering for AFC or NFC is stupid anyways.
