I made 3000 unique visitors yesterday and got only 32 cents on adsense
I don't know what is the problem, and it was the first time I achieved such a big traffic but still don't know why there is no adsense revenue depending on this traffic!!!

You want to get rid of some ad places first.

Also, your ads are not very targeted.

Use the
<!-- google_ad_section_start --> and end tags to mark where the content is on your site.

damn emp...that was one of the most helpful things I have seen on this forum!

does adsense really pay that much? I've only messed with cpa pages and whatnot so I've been wondering about these kinds of pages. I notices I regularly make around 100 a day from referrals from this one site running ads from yahoo or bing so I always wonder how much this site makes off the ads...

damn that iphone missle launcher looks awesome, off to look it up and waste money!

Your ad positioning will not help much now. But anything more than .10 % CTR will be more than 100% improvement :-)

One more thing.
You cannot reveal your Adsense CTR, eCPM etc. Against TOS
Also you mentioned your site beside the Adsense metrics.. You will get banned soon and it will be good for you. You could focus on CPA then.

Another thing A:
You didn't get 3000 Unique visitors. Those are adsense Impressions, will most likely be closer to your pageviews.

Another thing B:
You have like 6 total posts? On a General News Blog... The spike could have come from a lucky link or something... Or did you buy traffic? Such traffic doesn't click Ads even if you had only Ad Units all over.

Its a traffic from some videos, and yes its targeted :music07:
 
Page impressions are not uniques.

You have at least 3 ad units on your page, each unit registers 1 impression per page load.

3000/3 = 1000 page views.

And for example if each visitor viewed 10 pages, it's 1000/10 = 100 unique visitors.

(change values depending on ad units and page viewed per visitor)

Looks like you have more than 3 ads as you are using the link units aswell.
 
@ jumpinjack the photo from my account displays the Larger ad chanel only, I didn't mention the other ads because they didn't generate a single click! so yes its 3000 visitor (or page view) who care now.
By the way I just finished my 100 bux in just 12 hours, in the other hand I got about 50 cent in adsense!!!
I'm glad that I tried to think out of box lately :)
 
I have heard that the more adsense blocks you have on your page the less google pays. It is often best to have just one blog on the page, the premium located is top left.
 
News sites don't do well on Adsense. First of all, visitors are there to read news, and usually go away satisfied, why would they click the ads? Advertisers know this and don't place ads on news sites.

Then there is the keyword difficulty - what sort of ad would be generated by "BP drilling in libya", and which advertiser would place it?

BTW it's not just you that's having this problem, the New York Times and other news sites are struggling for this reason.

If you want to earn from Adsense, you need to go where the advertisers are. So trawl through Google's keyword tool looking for keywords advertisers are bidding for and build your site around this. But they won't be anything to do with news. They'll all be built around products.
 
You need to find Good niche to get high paid keywords base content and then you can earn atlest $1 from single clint on that case it woule be little tuff to bring 3000 uv in a day

What kind of offer are you using on a general news site? Is it like a survey that unlocks that site?
 
It's all about ad placement like emp so kindly provided. I am not bringing this up to brag, but you really should check out my website, Home Loans, Mortgage Refinance, Home Equity Loans, Rates -LoanSafe.org and check the posts for ad placement. In addition, look at the small ad link units I have placed on the website. Then check out my forum Mortgage Forum - LoanSafe.org

I have a Google AdSense account rep assigned to me and most every ad on my site has been a collaboration of ideas by my Google rep.

I now see many crappy Google news sites from webmasters who are regurgitating shit news with the hopes of making money off of AdSense. WRONG! You have to have a good , sticky website and distribute good news to make money online this way.

Do not place the money cart before the working horse. You must raise the horses, feed them and get them strong so they can pull the cart. Do you get that?

In addition, yes, you need a niche that pays well per click. You can expect an approximate rev share with the Big G of 50% or so.

Most websites that do well via Adsense get a 2-5% click thru rate and have tens of thousands of pages indexed in Google.
 
Well I would rather have used some paid to promote sites rather than adsense if I kept getting results like you :D
