There isn't a good WYSIWYG editor out there, not one that produces good code that is, and most of them don't display XHTML/CSS accurately anyway. You still need to preview everything in your browsers. I don't know what is slow and sluggish about Dreamweaver. Other than its built in FTP I quite enjoy the program.

I beg to differ when it comes to XSP, nice clean code, shows up very nicely in all browsers, can easily switch back & forth between source view and wysiwyg, all I'm really having to clean up is the "&nbsp" tags but that's not really a big hassle for me, and it's very flexible when it comes to css tweaks, all tweaks really.

Dreamweaver is the best dude, you might just have to suck it up and learn it, and if you think its too bulky, I'm guessing your talking about performance issues, Time to get a new computer.

You will thank me later when you realize all the trouble other visual HTML/xHTML editors will give you.

Sorry man, but if Dreamweaver and everything else that has come before it can't do it, I seriously doubt the app you have affiliate linked to in your sig is going to do it either. Their own site is a shambles of tables based old school layout practices that looks like something 1999 coughed up.

How about this little gem? Just one line out of thousands like it. Talk about bloat. This is not CSS based at all.

Code:
<p><font face="Tahoma"><font size="+0"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">Or Hock Ng who refers to XSitePro</span><font size="+0"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">as:</span></font></font></font></p>

Or how about this guy...

Code:
<p align="right"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: #94efff"><strong><span style=
                "COLOR: #44bfd9"><a href="articles.html"><font color=
                "#44BFD9">Articles</font></a>      <a href=
                      "privacy.html"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: #44bfd9; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"><font color=
                      "#44BFD9">Privacy</font></span></a>  <font color=
                      "#44BFD9">     </font> <a href="contact.html"><span style=
                      "FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: #44bfd9; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"><font color=
                      "#44BFD9">Contact</font></span></a> <font color=
                      "#44BFD9">     </font> <a href="affiliates.html"><font color=
                      "#44BFD9">Affiliates</font></a>  <font color="#44BFD9"> <font color=
                      "#44BFD9">    </font> <a href=

                   style="TEXT-DECORATION: underline"
                   href="http://www.xsitepro.com/sitemap-alphabetical.html"
                   target="_self"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: #44bfd9; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"><font color=
                   "#44BFD9">Sitemap</font></span></a> <span style=
                   "FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: #44bfd9; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma">  </span> </span></strong></span></p>

The code in that site seriously makes me want to puke.

Yeah I know what you're saying, as I said you gotta keep on top of those " " tags, as for the rest of it yeah it's got a lotta code but I also clean mine up in source view, all in all it suits me down to the ground and the pages I build both load quite nicely and some are ranking nicely to.
