So congress is pushing through that bill to tax the AIG bonuses 90%. Regardless of how shitty the situation with AIG is, this basically amounts to the government leveling punitive taxes against a group of people who are ripping Americans off.

You do know the same Congressmen who are passing this 90% tax bill ALSO told AIG to pay those bonuses? It was blocked in the draft of the stimulus bill, but they changed it at the last moment to allow the bonuses. It was intentional.

This whole thing was planned. They wanted AIG to give those bonuses so they could rail against 'corporate' greed' and pass this law. They could express their 'outrage' and gin up the public, all while the market plummets and the economy tanks. It's a huge bait-and-switch.

I'm so fucking sick about hearing people bitch and moan about AIG bonuses.

The company got over 175 BILLION... 125 million is NOTHING compared to that number.

Sure, maybe they shouldn't have received them right now... but the real reason why they talk about it all fucking day in the news is because people are pissed they make more money than them. That is really what it's all about.

People don't look up to rich people these days. Instead, they are just jealous fucking cunts who want to tax the fuck out of you.

And the reason were in this economic downturn is because of the people who are currently bitching about AIG bonuses.

These are the poor fuckers who sit on there ass all day receiving welfare checks, food stamps, don't pay taxes and getting fucking free medical health.

People who probably weren't even born in this country in the first place. These people go out and buy a house they obviously can't afford. These morons will go out and buy Cars they can't afford, expansive cell phones, flatscreen TV's, ect and then they complain about not having any money. I can't stand the fuckin lower class in this country. Compare to any other country in the world, they are FILTHY rich, yet they still want to bitch and moan.

Don't get me wrong , I do not condone lazy fucks who cash checks and have babies and do nothing to improve themselves, but to say the poor are the big drag on the economy instead of the mother-fucking trillions of dollars going to big companies to save their asses after they were given free ride on leveraging the ever-loving shit out of their positions by legislative policy the last eight years is pretty ignorant.

Look into CDS securities and look into welfare payments . . .which one has caused the biggest impact? There's your answer.

You don't get the point. The principle of income redistribution instead of the state funding only a limited # of constitutional duties is the reason why property rights are completely distorted, if not outright destroyed.

There is a big difference between the government taxing for the provision of law and security, and on the other hand, the state literally creating programs which require funding, whether they are desirable or not.

The problem with democracy, is that everyone gets an equal vote, but with the state violating property contracts, the people with property (wealth) have the most to lose, and the people without property, the most to gain.

And of course, the political parasites, Bushes and Clintons et al, exist only to serve as the middle men of the immoral and unconstitutional transfer of legitimate property titles from honest producers, to people who do not, and in many cases will not, earn for themselves.

I believe in charity, not robbery by ballot box.

The problem is that once you pay one group, another wants money, and another, and another, and then you find yourself in what we have now. Trillions of dollars in debt.

So yeah, agreed, govt should fund basic needs, supporting constitutionally mandated items, and not much more . . .

People are independent free beings, and shouldn't be dependent on anyone to provide for them.

Have you ever thought about why these people are in need? We live in a nation where if you really try, you can get a job. It's not gonna be a fucking six-figure job, but hell, you can work at McDonalds, Subway, ANYWHERE. Who are these people in 'need'? Sluts who got knocked up? Homeless alcoholics? Bums who are too lazy to look for work?

Has anyone ever thought about who these nameless, faceless people in 'need' are? And why is it so hard for them to get a job, ANY job? Why do those of us who DO work have to give them our money?

But see, your mindset isn't aligned here.

Government doesn't fund anything. The people fund everything. The government merely does the collecting and handing out. They are simply a middle man but one with a billy club, making them more like an extortionist.

The government has two limited functions. Protection (not aggression) of liberty and enforcement of the law (contract and property rights). Those are all that need to be funded, insofar as the government needs any funding. Period.

Going further, if it is wrong to steal, then it is wrong for a bunch of voters to vote the government to steal for them. What is given freely is charity. What is taken by force, by definition, is theft. It doesn't matter if it is "legal" if the law is unjust.

So how does a company, who's failing, and letting the US taxpayers prop them up send out bonuses? What are their bonuses based on? If the company is failing so bad you have to stick 180 billion into it, their is no reason for bonuses - period.

Get fucking real, it's fucking unethical. Their isn't a person in the company that deserves a bonus.

If AIG was profitable no one would give a fuck what a company does with their own money, but there have been 3 bailouts to the fuckers.

I don't care that it was a fraction of what they got. They where unetical stupid bussiness people.
