Harvey always argues that there can be a mix of public and private options, but basic logic says that the public option can't go bankrupt, and the private option has to turn a profit, so the incentives and funding are misaligned for any kind of serious competition.

That video explains the issue very simply.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIcfMMVcYZg"][/ame]

This is true..... The loonies will argue that it'll be good insurance. I absolutely refuse to pay for insurance for people who aren't contributing.

Don't worry friend. If the bill that Reid is currently hiding ATM and intends to throw on the floor tomorow passes...you will either PURCHASE the POS coverage or be fined by the government.

If this happens....it will be the first time in our history that we are REQUIRED by the government to purchase a good or service. This is a HUGE blow to our freedom.

Don't any left fuck try to equate it with car insurance either. You don't have to purchase car insurance if you don't drive a car.

They forgot to show the lemonade stands in all the other countries where they charge half of what lemonade girl does. And they forgot to show her and her thug friends making sure that other lemonade stands don't get set up in her area.

I absolutely refuse to pay for insurance for people who aren't contributing.

If you pay for insurance then you are already paying for people who don't contribute.

Um okay, there's a mixture of private and public health insurance in pretty well every European country as well as Canada. Lots of companies (like Pacific Blue Cross) manage to make a buck in Commieland.

You guys are making all of us right-wingers look bad. How about some fact-checking?

So we scrap capitalism (which has made us the richest most powerful nation on earch) and replace it with the castro/chavez way?

NO THANKS! you can live in a third world tyranny if you wish....I will take what has worked and worked well for hundreds of years.

this stupid cartoon proves nothing.

Are you arguing with the simplistic point that the cartoon is making? If so then what is your argument for socialized medicine? How can a private company that must make a profit compete against the government that can print money? What other government entity has provided the public with good service and good prices? What other LARGE country has provided socialized medicine to it's citizens at the quality that we currently provide?

Really none of this debate matters at all. All the left fucks can ask themselves one simple question:

Where in the constitution does it allow the government to FORCE by law, it's citizens to purchase a good or service?

People need to stop hatin' on the private insurance companies, if people don't want to die they should just get more money. :2twocents:

It's racist because the black sheep have white wool coats meaning you think that Obama is trying to act as if he is white, and on top of that you also thinks he looks like a sheep due to how far his ears project from his head.

...The racism is so clearly there. How did you miss it?

You might want to go look up which countries do and do not have universal health care.

If you pay tax you are already paying for people who don't contribute. *facepalm*

yes, that also, but

The new "health care" bill that they are looking to pass does nothing to keep costs down but will mandate a certain level of health care for everyone or you will face penalties. Basically what happens is the government forces you to buy from private companies that are already exempt from anti-trust laws. Dem or Repub it doesn't really matter because both sides are crooked and out for themselves. I think people are finally waking up to the fact that no matter who they vote for they will get the same outcome.
