title says it all, this homomexual (I'm a spanish fag) needs to buy another laptop don't want to spend more than $400 on it as it will only be a secondary laptop. I have not had a windows based computer/laptop in years wanted to know what people have tried/liked. The main thing for me is trackpad smoothness it pisses me off when you use a trackpad that lags or just straight up sucks. . . BJ's for advice if need be

I've been buying cheap laptops as gifts for family members lately, and while these kind of suck in terms of specs (as most anything will at that price range)...they're not awful.

Lenovo G570 PENTM 4334 9GU Laptop Computer With 156 LED Backlit Screen Intel Pentium B960 Dual Core Processor Black by Office Depot

I used the Asus while setting it up for my grandma, and the trackpad wasn't bad. I've yet to receive the Lenovo yet, so no comment there.

Of course...if you could justify spending just a little bit more, this one would probably be more to your liking.

You're coming from a Macbook trackpad?

Good luck with that.

Asus and Toshiba are my favorite brands, but I wouldn't buy one without trying its trackpad out in person.

Yeah I know, In the past I had always had good luck with HP but I don't like the trackpad. I will be heading out to the store later this week to get a feel of the different track pads out there but it will be damn near difficult to match the smoothness of a mac. Maybe I should be looking more for comfort and battery life since I highly doubt I will find a solid trackpad that I do like.

For $400 I wouldn't waste my money. Gonna break on you in like a year anyways.

go to best buy, i bought a shit ton of 500 laptops for my advisors that are 17'' monitors and are pretty fast. This was a year ago and they still do good jobs. im sure that since computers are obsolete the day you buy them, they have even better specs now.. prob. get a better deal on ebay tho
