If you're not already using a VPN you might want to start

who gives a fuck? here is an answer: stop downloading fucking hacked apps that dont work that contain virii and you should be paying for anyway, and purchase your music and movies like everyone else. is this a fucking warez forum?

"AMERICANS do something quick" <--------how about everyone stop stealing music, movies and applications and these American government organizations will loosen up a little bit. that is the answer!

yes lets all start a movement to petition the government to allow us to steal thousands of dollars worth of shit "so i can have it on my ipad"

It's not about downloading pirated shit - that's just their excuse for spying on, and controlling everyone's Internet access.

It seems like the government has been pulling this card a lot lately. When they can't get something passed, they create some law that everybody would vote for (ie law against online pedophiles act) and then slip their bullshit into it. In the past few months, I can think of at least 4 or 5 "laws" where this seems to be the case. I'm not sure if they have always done things this way or if I'm just starting to recognize it.

They have always done it though it does seem to be getting worse.

Like the "SAFE Port Act" which also banned online gambling.

I aint even mad. All I gotta do is stop downloading shit and make use of the man that screams PELICULAS MOVIES MOVIES. I don't mind it UNLESS they're using the information that they've obtained outside of potential copywritten material.

It really bothers me how the white space in between the head and arms of your little avatar guy was not removed.

i am sorry to bust the bubble but VPN packets can be analyzed. I worked for a client very recently to unblock their services in one of the countries, the smartass guys figured out the VPN tunnel and started dropping packets so badly that its almost impossible to actually use it. Get the idea? They will hammer down your internet to a state where you can't send a fucking packet over your VPN

The don't actually analyze them, as in decrypt them. They detect that you are sending/receiving encrypted packets and they start dropping them so your connection becomes useless. Right? Is there a detectable difference between using a VPN and the https traffic like you have when you log into a secure site?

hehe unless your vpn company does not sell your personal information. i recommend witopia for vpn hell yeah.

....or instead of shelling out money for a vpn which will likely have shitty speed, you can sub to a decent newsgroup provider with 900+ days binary retention and SSL encryption and get the fuck off torrents all together.

If you can't find your shit on the newsgroups, then most likely no one gives a fuck about what your downloading through a torrent anyways.

Have any decent news groups you want to share ?

so you just have to sign an agreement to get your cap removed, what happens after? just imagine the lols that can be had with a someones wifi, film the neighbors getting hauled away for pirating movies

Most of my neighbors are using WEP and I sponged off their internet for a while before I had mine hooked up. It's comically easy to break wep and I even got one of the neighbors WPA2 pass since it was his phone number.

I could just setup another box to torrent day and night on my neighbors internet for lulz they can't even really catch you can they? What is the legality if their wifi has no password at all cause there's one nearby too.

I remember seeing some pendrive distro where you can track the reverse signal of the person stealing your wifi but fuck I doubt the cops here would have the IQ to use that shit.

I don't think VPN is really going to work. I have a cousin-in-law working at a company that builds tools for ISPs to do deep packet inspection even on encrypted data. I have no idea how the technology works, but let's say I was shocked when he told me what he was working on. He was telling me that ISPs are already implementing this technology into their systems.

Details on the company: http://www.proceranetworks.com/en/cable-operators.html

"PacketLogic solutions provide deep packet inspection capabilities that allow highly accurate identification of network traffic such as file sharing, streaming video (YouTube, Netflix, Hulu), Skype and others – even if these applications use port-hopping, encryption, masking or other behaviors to hide their identity."
