I'm giddy with excitement

The best thing that will come from the turnover of the House is a legislative logjam for the next two years. Fewer shitty regulations and bills will get passed. That ain't much to cheer about, but it's better than what I've seen (health care, cap and trade, tarp, financial regs, etc.).

Reality check:

1. There will be no return to principles of freedom. Just different slave masters.

2. Tea Party candidates will betray their supporters as they move away from less government to legislate from the center. They must do this to survive politically. This is a truism in politics.

3. Either the U.S. or Israel is gonna hit Iran before the 2012 election machine really starts rolling. Not boots on the ground, but bombs in their nuke plants. That will all but lock in the White House for Obama. He plays the "reach out and talk" card a lot with Iran, but he knows how to keep his seat. He also knows his options are growing more limited by the month.

Call me crazy, but wait and see.

Bi-partisan politics is for sissies, the only way to rule is with an iron fist.

Yeah, I didn't say anything about bi-partisan politics either. I prefer no politics, or at least something different than Asshole A vs. Asshole B who are at best different sides of the same coin. Neither major party member of the political class is worth a shit. They are both wholy anti-American. There is an individual exception from time to time, but they are ridiculed even by their own parties.

If you support Republicans you ARE supporting bi-partisanship. Just as if you support Obama you might as well love Bush, since the primary job of a president appears to be building and preserving the legacy of his predecessor.

Dems and Repubs- both big-government, anti-Constitution, anti-liberty, pro-state/pro-political class, anti- "civilian."

Pretty hilarious how the libs on here attack conservatives and defend liberals 364 days out of the year, but when they get their asses handed to them Election Day suddenly there's no difference between the two parties.

a defense mechanism, a form of denial brought on by a day in which they've lost.

I've been saying there's no difference between the two for a decade - but I'm libertarian

Great success:

Voted for Mickey Mouse for SC Attorney General

Voted for Thomas Ravenel (felon, unable to hold office sadly because he has great leadership and views and is CATO approved) for SC Treasurer

Voted for myself for State Senate

Voted my Dad for Soil commissioner

Nearly voted no confidence for governor

Voted a libertarian for Secretary of Education

And a bunch of other votes in there but those are my good ones.

On the subject of politics:

Food for thought.

HB, clear something up for me. When you refer to liberals (I'm assuming it's in the same context as "libtards"), are you referring to...

1. "liberals" according to the contemporary vernacular? In other words, swipe the property of some and give it to others through welfare, legal tender laws and fiat currency, blah, blah, blah.

2. "liberals" in the old-fashioned sense? Give people the freedom to do what they want. No taxes, no laws, blah, blah, blah.

Or are you lumping both groups together? I never know if you're referring to people like me.

They don't even understand the dichotomy, it's so sad. And now the Dem cocksuckers already have their new talking point - have you seen this one?

Now they're saying that if the Republicans don't win 100 House seats, 10 Senate seats, and a majority of the governorships, it's a victory for them. I'm not kidding. I just heard a Democrat say this on TV. It must have been wired to him fresh off the presses, reminds me of when Debbie Wasserman was flustered for a bit, then got her talking points. They'll have their propaganda all ready this time.

And no Jake, I'm not referring to classical liberals. I'm referring to the people who hijacked that name.

Did you miss the day after the last presidential election on Fox News? You know, when they said it was a win for them because someone like Obama would never win a second term and a "real" conservative would be able to win in 2012 (as opposed to the conservatives they were pushing for before he won).

You are the biggest sheep on this forum, kid.

Looks like we have the first liberal unraveling here. It's so hilarious to watch the few times that the people just rise up and bitchslap the bullshit out of these liberals. This is going to be a massacre of the highest order, just WATCH the civil war unfold in the Democrat Party after this!

On a sidenote, Zeros, it looks like the Senate is going to be the really interesting part tonight. If the Repubs gain 10 seats or more, I'd say that's the political equivalent of a gangraping for Obama.

You're fucking delusional. You are so deeply trenched into the GOP's asshole that everyone else in the world is an "unraveling liberal". They own every last little piece of your pathetic soul. Wake the fuck up.
