IM has become shit because of USD

Nah it's not zen.

It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you've got.

I just quoted Cheryl Crow. Thank god this is a gay webmaster forum.

No, it's being content with what you've got, and with an untarnished mindset setting out to get more if that is what you really want.

Oh, and anyone calling something "bullshit" with no reasoning added is bullshit in themselves.

With loads of spare change, some audacity and HOPE - Obama gonna fix it!

Just vote for him in 2012 "It's the economy, stupid".

I've taken literally a 40% pay cut since 2009.

I'm about 10 cents on the dollar away from moving to New Zealand.

Have started moving into markets where I can get paid in GBP and Euros.

Right. So once you satisfy your basic needs then it is all a matter of quality of mind. If your seething greed prevents you from ever being satisfied or feeling "full" then you always feel poor. And feeling poor all the time is a miserable existence.

Sounds like an excuse for mediocrity.

Yeap, the dollar sucks bigtime now, another reason to diversify our methods and increase our earnings to cover the loss and even make more.

Sounds like an excuse for mediocrity.

Feeling constantly in need of more, your dream is mediocrity living a life like that.

In thread related news, the dollar did strengthen slightly today against the THB.

sucks that you guys can't make 1k a month and feel rich anymore... sorry bro's... no more third world king status for you

** not related to those who live in most of Europe

lol at money making you feel rich (for the truly pathetic that might be enough)

Pretty confident that you're just trolling by now:

The very definition of the word "rich" is
1. Having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy.

Nobody is saying being rich = being happy.
Money can make you feel whatever, but by definition you have to have money/wealth/assets to BE rich.

i don't agree that making money makes you rich but many people here think that...

and if you telling me that a country that is mostly below the poverty line is not third world... you are mistaken... just b/c you live in the upper echelon doesn't make up for the rest of the lower lower class... there is a wealthy class in every country and they have 1st world access in 3rd world countries...

if this wasn't the case why don't you get paid in the currency where you live... or better yet get a job in that country

where else can you get a mansion with maids drivers 2 pools 8 bedrooms and a servant house, in a good area for 4k usd a month... thats about 20 - 30k a month in USA... prob more

lol at that whole poverty line biz. what poverty line? you mean the U.S. poverty line. lmao at that. nobody starves here there is so much damn food and it is so cheap. there is work but most of the "poor" are too damn lazy to work more than a couple of days before blowing their few baht on getting the village drunk, my first hand experience. if being below the poverty line means you can't have the latest droid phone then boo hoo.

Not trolling. Making a point that is lost on most. "Feeling" rich - nothing to do with how much money you have. I personally know a guy who was CEO of a semiconductor company that made him a billionaire when it went public but the more he had the more he acted like some crazed starving maniac trying to get more and more of everything and doing crazy ass stuff like building a secret underground party cave and lots more stuff that nobody ever heard about. A lot of people can guess who that guy is. He always felt like he never had enough, he was poor. I don't have a billion but I'm a lot wealthier then he is. Somebody else's definition of "being" rich? lol, you're pathetic if you care.
