I found this forum about a year and a half ago. I had nothing . . . I couldn't even code a PSD let alone develop wordpress websites. A number of people on here helped me and gave me a chance.

I have now quit my job and i work full time self employed as a web developer. I do what i want when i want - living the dream if you will! Don't get me wrong, im not rich (yet!) but . . . I have got stuck in and managed to get my head above the water.. I have loads of good clients for web development, agencies, designers, business men etc.. Plus im chipping away at SEO with 4 clients signed up and seeing results.

None of this would have happened if it wasn't for the good nature of the people on this forum so - thanks!

Thanks to you all!

A few people have nearly fallen off their chairs and turned away in disbelief when i have shown them this forum . . .

You may talk a lot of shit but you get the job done!

Good for you! ^ That's boss playa status right there. Escaped the rat race, and now the empire grows! next up, you are snorting coke off of your living Bofu coffee table!

Congratulations mate. It's great to hear about other guys getting success.

I'm considering learning to code. I'm sick of shitty designers and coders not producing the goods. Where's a good place for a newbie to start?

Thanks!

w3 schools and code academy ;)

I've put off learning code ever since I got started in this biz. I keep asking myself if its worth learning because what I'm thinking is that even if I do learn and understand it, it won't be good enough for the work I need done. Will I realistically be able to do as good a job as the people I hire?

You dont HAVE to be a coder.. It depends on your circumstance. I wanted to be a web developer so it was pretty much essential! haha.. Plus i have the freedom now of being able to build as many good quality websites as I want with low costs . . .

For me.. i love what i do and i am making a decent wage so . . . and i want to start building personal projects.

If you are making money then i wouldn't worry but if you are starting out it is certainly a worth while set of skills.

After time you will be as good as any body else.. we are all human!
