It's a small worldi'm not kidding, i literally just got this logo design request..

If only every client I had would be as descriptive life would be easier.. usually you just get a "i like this kind of logo (PIC)" thats it.. if im lucky.
oh quit getting your panties in a bunch, I mentioned no names. It just gets frustrating as I require my clients to read a guidelines doc. about how to request a logo and what a good logo is and is not.
unlike other designers I'm not just going to design a logo to make them happy and get paid, my primary goal is to make them a GOOD logo and if they won't have it any other way, I'll just refund them, especially if it's a very meticulous request.
to the few that said they hate when a client is too vague, I love it. as long as I know what their business is about and what they're trying to do, I can actually do my job, design the logo and not be a puppet designer - because more often than not, a business owners idea of a good logo is entirely off (as in the example I posted).
The logo as I thought it should be with what they had in mind:
in the end if they don't like it, fatbat bud, I'll refer them to you and you can give them that header design

I'm going to show them the image and let them know I'm adding it to my guidelines page as an example of how not to request a logo. They liked the one I did a lot and I'm sure they'll get a kick out of the image, if not, tough, that's my humor.
I don't even begin to get it. You're a service worker who wants to be an artist, is that the deal? You're angry that someone told you what they wanted, so you didn't get to express that wonderful meaningful artist inside of you just aching to get out?
