What tragedy are you referring to? You're not talking about that femo webcam kid are you?

I'm not trying to be insensitive ( I have tons of gay friends myself) but that crap was blown way out of proportion IMO. Roommates do mean things all the time, and would probably have taped him even if he was banging the resident female fatty.

I dunno, I guess if some good like this comes out of the whole situation that's great. I just don't like overly politically correct people taking things out of context.
 
The media makes it sounds like all teenagers are homophobes and mean. There are a few openly gay kids in my school, and they are all treated completely normal.
 
I would be extremely suspicious of what the media is doing right now vis a vis the "anti-gay bullying" phenomenon and leery of their agenda.

I think we are headed towards Britain.

In Britain, teachers have a national database of children as young as 5 and record "infractions" if they say "racist" or "homophobic" things. These "infractions" stay on the kid's record for life and could theoretically hinder their chances at a job, political ambitions, etc...

I didn't believe it at first when I heard it, but it's true. Britain is truly nuts. To think that teachers are monitoring the speech of 5-year olds and policing their thoughts for "racist" or "homophobic" elements is draconian indeed.

he has a good point there. that kind of system does nothing but encroach on rights, because where do you draw the line? bullying is case by case, and this campaign of "it gets better" is a good thing, but government flipping its shit and restricting speech is not.

Seriously that's the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard. So many kids use terms like faggot, queer, homo so loosely that the intent has nothing to do with homosexuality. The idea they're tracking that type of thing in young children is pretty pathetic.
 
All types of people kill themselves everyday. This series of suicides is being used by the liberal media and LGBT orginizations to push attention towards their own agendas, which is just politics...
 
I am supportive of gays, but I want to know where the videos are for all the suicidal straight kids who think they will never get laid and bullied and called names.
