Inaccurate SERP or Sandboxed?

Hey -

Recently I purchased some nice SEO services which got my SERP up to 3. However, when I search for the particular keyword it's no where to be found on the first ten Google pages. Am I sandboxed for that particular keyword or is it due to some other factors?

PS - the domain is just over a month old.

Not nearly enough info to tell you what the problems is. What kind of "SEO sevices" ? Types of links, how many, time frame, etc???

How competitive is your keyword?


There are a lot of reasons why you could be ranking how you are, if you want any kind of advice that may actually be helpful you need to provide more info. (without giving up your domain and exact keyword)
 
I think it's not like Google sandboxed but exceedingly inclined to lack of optimization on a particular keyword and the competition in these keywords
 
This is common with new sites - they often fly quickly up the ranks and then, it seems, that Google figures out where the really belong and they drop out of the SERPs.

Also, if you purchased backlinks then you may have a bigger problem. New sites don't often have a strong backlink profile. If you went from 0 in bound links (IBLs) to dozens of IBLs and then the links stopped - that is a red flag to search engines.

Over optimization penalties are hard hitting and generally hard to identify.

I feel its strange that all the software that I use reports my SERP have a couple of very highly ranked keywords, when in reality I can't find it amongst the first 10 search pages.

With more content, will this problem be rectified?

Are you logged in to Google? Even still, have you turned off Personalized Search?

These things can have a major impact on observed search ranking.
