According to new definitions, most military actions no longer count as an act of war. So we still have a few untapped peaceful options on the table, like bombing the living shit out of everyone with drones. Or sending in a target man to arrange for an inconvenient accident.

For starters, have you looked at a map? you do realize they're on an island right...? And their all-access media servers aren't going to reach the backbone by sheer magic. So if you want one out of about a million other options.. here you go, here's one: Knock out the country's internet access by force, continuously, lest they change their official posture on the issue.

There are a million other scenarios like this, more aggressive seizures, political pressures etc. If you think the US is going to stand by while some other GOVERNMENT blatantly steals and challenges it's sovereignty and interests of in such a rebellious way, you're an idiot.

It would be different if they were just looking the other way and some other group was doing it, but they're willfully doing it. That's never going to fly.

for decades, many governments have thumbed their nose at the US regarding gambling law, and the US has never taken steps anywhere close to what you suggest they'll do in this case. the US made it illegal for US citizens to gamble online and imposed some trade restrictions, and after a decade of outright abuse, that law got tacked onto a US port security bill as an afterthought by some hyper-zealous GOP religious freaks. that's it. any american who still wants to gamble online can do it easily via books/countries that don't give a fuck about US law.

you saying "a million other options" means jackshit. i agree that the US can be heavy-handed, but there haven't been any cases of that historically for something so paltry as copyright law. you're guessing about the US response without historical precedent, and the closest historical precedent (gambling) suggests they'd do little or nothing against another sovereign nation.

In all seriousness, this doesn't actually seem serious or real at all. This scenario reeks of a cyber warfare real-time case study.

The cap is $21M directly. This deal can be played in a variety of very profitable and gray area ways for Antigua, to act as a neutral middleman. But the moment they get involved, directly, they are going to get pwned.

There won't be offline military action. Its going to be covert cyber warfare toys put into play in real life, with no one keeping score.

I need to get back in touch with my buddies at DARPA to get in on the monies and lulz.
 
In other news, I heard the CIA needs a Ivy league schooled person who wants to become a tyrannical despot of a small Caribbean nation. Guns, take over and torture manuals will be included.

Job percs: All the Caribbean girls you like, lifelong presidency, deemed a good president so long as you obey orders (if you stop, then you stop being president and become a 'regime'), plenty of booze, invitation to world leader summits, and access to the cure to cancer and aids.

Job negatives (generally not mentioned at first): everyone is trying to kill you, you never know who is on what side, and power gets to your head converting you into a sick, pathetic fuck who can't get it up and beats his harem for fun.

Anybody interested? I'll take the job as the man behind the throne. If/when you get killed/escape to Switzerland, I'll keep on advising for the next regime (or presidency, depending on whose side the ones in power are in favor of)

Then i'd like to see what their marketing plan is, are they going to buy banner ads on torrent sites saying "hey don't download that new movie for free, come pay us $9.99 for it!"?
