So, I've been comtemplating about this for a while now, and i really can't Side with either way,

By indexing straight away,

+ Google sees a site thats updated constantly

+ Not as long to wait to get get a page rank

+ Some traffic coming in, Potentially.

- Customers see an unfinished site, and could stop them from coming back

- Content becomes rushed, as to not leave a site unfinished

By not indexing straight away,

+ Any amount of time to "create" the site

+ Can be tinkered any number of times

+ Customers see a Finished site

- Longer wait for a page rank

- Longer wait for some dosh.

Anyone care to shed some light on it?

Depends on what kind of site it is. Blog? Throw up 20 posts and get it indexed ASAP. Naturally with an ecommerce or something like that where gaping holes would be bad, you'd want to have everything pretty tightened up before you start worrying about indexing.

Yeah, That was my thinking.. Mines a pretty long distant project (or atleast i hope it to be) So i went with the not getting indexed, but to be honest, i'm thinking i should of bought a few 100 backlinks about 2 pages back, I'm nearly 3 weeks in, and finding it so easy to procrastinate....

But yeah, would it of made much of a difference in my ranking, considering Time+Effort, which could of been doing what im doing now...the dirty jobs of batching out page after page?

I don't see why you'd be so worried about getting indexed too early. It's always best to get G as familiarized with your site as possible as soon as possible. Particularly if you plan on adding more pages. More pages being added will help get those spiders back more often, which is a good thing.

If you're worried about turning away customers, just put a banner at the top that says "Pardon our dust while we put the finishing touches on yoursite.com to ensure it's the best goddamn [your niche] site you've ever seen!" Or something like that.

I'd even go so far as to take advantage of it by sticking an email opt-in form under that message with something like "Submit your name and email here to be notified of the insane specials exclusive to yoursite.com on our official launch day! You DON'T want to miss this!"

And index away while building a list :)

Hell, get enough subscribers and you can procrastinate on finishing the actual site indefinitely :P

I couldn't have said it any better myself. To get good quality content for your site you can get someone else to write it for about $400 a month or so. Make sure you run it through copyscape and you should be good to go.

30 Blogs, 4 Articles, 4 Press Releases, and all you have to do is:

1. Post Blogs Daily
2. Social Bookmark the Blog Daily
3. Submit Article once a week
4. Submit Press Release once a week
5. Use a free video creator to create and use tubemogul to distribute your video for free with stats tracking.

That is a pretty solid campaign to start off with. Nothing spectacular but it is better than 99% of newbs!

Get off your "get rich quick ninja tactics" and get with a solid foundation. Do this and you will get your site ranked as long as you:

1.Choose the right keywords
2.Ensure SEO on-page factors are top notch
3. Don't use duplicate content

Good Question...
