true story, a guy I know wrote a c++ bot to spam local myspace girls with friend requests and then send fairly generic messages until they had responded at least twice, at which point the bot would email him the girl's profile pictures and responses.

He eventually found his current girlfriend through this method. She has no idea that their first interactions were really between her and his bot. Female interest automation ftw.
