iOS 7 Released!

Apple are still kicking ass in my opinion. Cant really fault anything theyre doing or where they appear to be heading.

It might just be on Siri but I still say this is a huge win for Bing. Siri may suck now but given how much cash Apple has dumped into developing it, I'm betting they'll continue to improve it until it begins to gain adoption.

This is how paradigm shifts happen. Seemingly small wins turn into bigger ones.

As for me, I could care less who wins the search engine war, as long as the war continues.

Yea this is a huge win for Bing and I think it's going to start adding up. Even crazier that Google just paid so much to show up as the default search engine and Apple for some reason or another went with Bing instead of Siri. I'd be interested to hear more about why on their part.

Overall Bing is a pretty horrible search engine, but for local brands it's surprisingly good so maybe that's why they adopted it. Maybe there's something going on with Facebook local to Bing search to Apple. I have no clue.

Been on the ios 7 beta for a day or so now. Interface feels like a fisher price toy but the keyboard is waaay better. Kinda laggy on my 4s too. May just be the beta.

get retina its amazing

"Retina" is just a catchy marketing term for high pixel density, but the fact of the matter is that the Galaxy S4 has more resolution at 1920 x 1080 that the iPhone5 at 1136 x 640, and higher PPI at 441 vs 336. A lot more.

Pretty soon all screen manufacturers are going to be offering 4K resolution monitors at 3840 x 2160, and the term "retina" will become irrelevant, if it isn't already.

I think the new iOS7 looks great. It's a bit funny that Apple is a late adopter of the flat UI design trend (playing catch up with MS and Google on this one), when they like to position themselves as trend setters, but better late than never I guess. Too bad about the OS functionality though.
