IP Detection - How do I should different prices depending on IP?

Hello,

We have a Wordpress site that where we want to show our prices in the local currency depending on where they are from. I was told it has to do with IP detection.

I don't know where to start on something like this and at the very least, I am looking for some direction as to what questions to ask when hiring a freelancer. How do you do this?

Also keep in mind that the geoip databases aren't 100% accurate and that people will travel and so on, so you should give the user the option to select their preferred currency on the site.

Take a look at free services like ipinfodb.com or freegeoip.net
You can use them to find out location of visitors IP.
Then you simply print different currencies.

You may want to do a mixture of both.. Locate them using maxmind GEOIP and also allow them to choose their country/location and double verify. Possibly even by shipping address.
