WickedFire Forumers,

Just ask to see how you all think....

1. Are you going to purchase iPad?
Yes / No

2. Drop a simple line to describe the difference between iPhone, iPAD, Macbook.

Give you My personal opinion first for 2 questions above
1. NO

2. Macbook is Macbook, iPad is smaller Macbook, iPhone is smaller iPAD.
[LOL]

No i won't be getting the iPad.. even though i had a dream last night i bought one. weird.

recently it seems every time I drop by here I'm asked to do some homework..

btw there is no way an iPad is a smaller Macbook.. you can't multitask with the iPad..Apple have done years of research proving they can sell pretty much the same "tweaked" crap over and over again to the same sheep..iPad is just another revenue stream... you think they don't already have iPads that can mulltitask, ones with USB ports, and ones with cameras already lined up to shove down your throat in the next couple of years? think again...

No they don't...they can make them, but that's not part of steve jobs' vision of complete control, a usb port opens the tablet up to too many things he can't control, something apple has never done on anything mobile.

i just played with an ipad. Not $600 cool, but pretty cool

That's my general feeling, I'd like to have one, but not for 400-600, which is funny considering I spent close to that same price for my 16GB first generation iPod Touch.

You freaking me out, I actually dreamed of using one, but at the end of the dream it seems I was just over inflating my iPod Touch. Then wondering what I was hyped about.

I have one and it is definitely fun and will get its fair share of usage, but because it's cool. I don't see it as being as useful for people like us (us being the people who spend all day on their computers and are already extremely comfortable doing everything on our computers. We, however, are definitely not your average computer user. When I think of this thing being extremely useful is when I was showing it to my grandma on Easter. It s immediately something that she wanted because it takes all of the hastle out of using a computer for her. People like her, who are only planning to use her computer to check her email and do some shopping online, have the added benefit of being able to do so with like one touch of a finger. She can also install "apps" for things just by clicking once on "install". I don't know about you guys but I've had tons of family members over the years asking me to show them how to do things that I take for granted as being simple. I also hate trying tog explain some things to them because some people honestly just don't understand computers and don't care to. They just want something that will work and show them their email and shit, which the iPad does a great job of.

And, this being the first thing that I've actual had to type a decent amount for, I have to say that the keyboard isn't that bad. I've only been using it for a little bit and I really feel like i can type almost as fast and efficiently as i can on my MacBook. This word misspelling helper thing is also pretty good. It kind of makes me wonder why some normal computers don't have things like this... Anyway I'm really just rambling because I wanted to try typing on this bitch.

Peace

How was it for typing? It looks very clumsy, like you have to lean over it to type, or prop it up with one hand and tap with the other. I wish Apple had made something more like a netbook.

They wouldn't have been able to compete with the price typically associated with netbooks. Least with the iPad they can use about the same materials they already use for the iPhone/iPod, and since its their own chip they can break on the price a bit in terms of profit margin. So as a result something less powerful than a typical netbook but twice the price. Besides it wouldn't have that iPad appeal.

Rofl for a bunch of guys who claim to be ballers you guys sure do get upset when someone spends $500 on something to read books and use the internet on.

:P I find that people who are geeks in heart have a harder time actually dropping coin on something like that, but have no problem shelling out the cash for things which they will not keep for later.

If someone had a car you wanted, but priced 50K above retail, even though you could afford it, tell me you wouldn't try to least haggle a little first....

considering the price of an ipod touch, the ipad price isn't bad...everyone keeps comparing it to a netbook or laptop...it's not...that's like comparing a prius with a ford fusion...they both drive on roads...but besides that each have their advantages...

Yea for sure:

iPod Touch 64GB 399.00
iPod Touch 32GB 299.00
iPod Touch 8GB 199.00
iPad 64GB 699.00
iPad 32GB 599.00
iPad 16GB 499.00

Basically you pay approximately 200-300 more for the bigger display (basically 200 more for the lowest or highest end, and 300 more if you try to go middle of the road)
