lately I realized weird things happening on my iphone.. apps disappearing, icons being moved around and all kinds of weird shit, and I realized today that it's all caused by my fucking EAR during calls.. yes, when I'm in a call my ear on the touch screen causes calls to be dropped, muted, speaker mode launched, and when I press the home button during the call to avoid messing with my call, well my ear opens, closes, deletes and moves around icons.

anyone else has the same problem? how the fuck can we fix this?

no way, the iphone has a proximity sensor that switches off the display when it "senses" that it's near your head.

you got a chinese replica, brah.

the phone's screen should be turning off when you're on a call as it has a sensor to detect when your face is blocking the screen. Make sure you didn't turn that setting off or something.

iphone 5? A number of people have reported problems with proximity sensor. Take it back and get a new one.

If you have brightness set around half way and auto brightness on does it get brighter when you shine a light on it? On the 4/4s it is above the ear speaker, not sure on 5. If so sensor may be bad.

shit guys, I think I got screwed. I just bought this used iphone 4 off Kijiji for $200.. guy promised it was fully functional and showed me proof that he bought it only 7 months ago. Everything is working fine but I think the sensor is fucked.

you cannot just move around apps on the homescreen.

Never had a single problem. Been using my iphone 4 since it was launched ( almost 2 years ) and there's nothing i can complain about. You should go to an Apple store and check....
