Is ClickBank Still Legit for Vendors?

Hey Y'all..

As I make the slow transition from the market research phase into product development mode, I've been wondering what platforms I should use to sell my product (payment processors, etc..).

I definitely want my 1st product to be affiliate friendly, and my initial thought was obviously CLICKBANK. (Creating an in-house aff program seems like a lot of work and headaches)

Do you guys have any experience pushing products on CB as vendors? If so, would you recommend it for someone creating their first digital info product in a solid niche? Do they have shitty policies that have fucked you in the ass in the past? Have you noticed a downward trend in CB's popularity lately?

You're thoughts are appreciated as always, gentlemen.

They are still good, the only bad side is the 60 day refund policy and they will refund anyone even if you held up your side of the bargain.
 
Its good for the customer but for the sellers side its going rough. Got a few friends still promoting a few products but they are having 30-40% refund rates cause of the Unconditional refund policy. The motive is that if your customers are satisfied they will not file a refund but we all know there's a lot of assholes in the market. So either be prepared for the refunds or move on brah
 
Clickbank is legit for info products.

Also, stop doing product development and start selling. If you need to do research, find a minimum viable product path to your answers.
 
Go for it, if it doesn't work for you, you can always switch.

They've been good to me as a vendor and as an affiliate.

So basically start selling a hypothetical product to see if anyone takes the bait before I commit to full-on development? Or just create a barebones version to get immediate feedback?

I'll look more into the minimum viable product route for sure. Got me interested...

Damn. Yeah it's as if clickbank hasn't factored in the fact that people love exploiting loopholes. As a CB affiliate, I've never experienced chargebacks/refunds so I still have hope.

I guess if can provide multiple months of value, it shouldn't be an issue though.

Of course they have factored it in.

They are just trying to clean up their image and keep their business running smoothly. If that means offering a 60-day refund, or slapping vendors and affiliates then so be it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started to feel some heat from outside parties and were "forced" to make those changes.

Adapt or die.

Doesn't need to be so. You can have the best product in the world and there's still going to be a bunch of people asking for refunds based solely on the fact that they can get away with it. I've had higher conversion rates than his mentioned refund rate, and no matter how good a product is, I find people eventually do this. Especially on clickbank.

Not 30%-40%, no. If one in three people that order your product want their money back, you're doing something wrong. You definitely don't have "the best product in the world" lol.
 
uhm yeah that refund rate is from an MMO or IM niche where people are most likely to be overwhelemed by Information specially from WAFO and BH forums plus giving the fact that most of your competitors are clickbank vendors as well

I'll rephrase, if you're getting 30-40% refund rates, your copywriters are great, cause they succeeded in selling that crap in the first place.

I'll rephrase. If you're getting 30-40% refund rates and your copywriter is great, that means the copywriter put everything into the sales page on how you can make $5000/month sitting naked on the bathroom floor, but the copywriter redirected all buyers to meatspin instead of the product download page. For the lulz.
