In the google search?.

I've tried alot of things including alternatiing meta tags ect. but it wont change (even after google bot has visited the site after the changes).

The headache of trying to renovate the site and continue its previous success has made me want to burn my pc.

sounds to me like an old page being cached.
If you've fixed this already, it should be back to normal after their next indexing

each time the google bot vists the page the indexing on the search site doesnt change though?

How long has it been since you changed the title? I find that G doesn't always update the index on a recrawl. If it doesn't find significant changes, it might delay the update. It happened to me a few times in the past. But it will eventually update it. Unless it's been like weeks... in which case it could be some kind of weird bug.
