Is it ok to cut-up network provided creatives?

I was looking at some of the network provided creatives for a campaign I am interested in running, and some of them have some decent pictures of people I would like to use for social. Is that legit, or would the advertiser/network get pissed?

This would definitely be something you'd have to discuss with the particular network you're using. I'd suggest asking your AM if they could pass the question along to the advertiser. As long as you are using the (portions) of the provided creatives for the same advertiser and offer, I don't see a reason why the advertiser would deny your request.

Fuck that noise, why would they care? Unless it specifically instructs you not to on your network's end, but I've never seen that.

If you're talking about using these on Facebook or POF or whatever, go ahead. The only thing that'll stop you is if either of those platforms disapproves the ads - and don't misinterpret it that way if Facebook does, as they have about 867,834 random reasons for disapproving ads (I've seen the list).

We don't even provide them usually because they're such poor quality.

Don't sell yourself short, Ryan! This is killing in the M 45-64 demo!
