Is it possible not to belong to a country

I really can't see many benefits with being a stateless person. Many of them, primarily Palestinian refugees or similar, rot up in asylum centers for decades. As per some website I was referred to from here, the best is to have a passport from a small, minimal government nation, who is associated with a former colonial power in Europe. Examples of this is some Caribean or Central American mini-nations which passport is just as good as say a Dutch, but with no of the obligations from being a dutch citizen.

Not sure I would want to be stateless either. I would much rather be a dual citizen with a country I would like to travel to a lot ( that has good financial and tech foundation ) that does not tax on outside generated revenue and then slowly phase out my US citizenship if I did it.

You want a passport from a country that will protect you overseas. Someone with the clout or respect to make sure you are well treated.

You want to be taxed (income or consumption) by small governments.

Hence why it makes sense to fly multiple flags depending on what aspect of your life needs one.

You diversify your funds between savings, checking and investment. Diversify your tax burden and your political obligations as well.

Not even. Each part of Antarctica is owned by a different country.

I'd go to the Ukraine base though. Apparently they have the only bar in Antarctica there, with $3 shots of home-made vodka.

It may be owned by a country...but like I said, Im pretty sure you can go there and do whatever the fuck you want. I doubt there are many representatives of the country running around arresting anyone.

But what the fuck do I know, I've only seen Antarctica on maps and movies.
