Yes, this story shows that Israel hates jewish American college girls. Ms. Sussman's ordeal is quite aptly analogized to the holocaust. Hopefully, to make it up to her, the Mossad will provide her with a bunch of their special cellphones to distribute as free gifts to her friends back in Syria.

In summary, this woman didn't lose any of her data and will be getting a brand new laptop to boot. And she has a cool story to tell her friends.

When I went earlier this year, I got the questioning too. I went with an employee of mine, and we got grilled for about half an hour too. All sorts of BS questions which they couldn't even verify the answers by. Luckily my laptop etc wasn't shot 
We got to take our luggage with us while we were questioned. Tel Aviv was really nice, but the security is MAJOR.
On the way back home, they were questioning us again, and this one chick was holding my passport asking what my dads name, sisters name and mum's names were, and what they meant :/// which isn't even put in the passport lol.

Meh, American customs have put me in a whiteroom twice for 3 hours each. Then they just let me out, apologize for the inconvenience and put me on the next flight out. They go through my luggage each time as well, but I don't care much about that. Nothing to hide. Travel enough and you'll see that all customs services are batshit insane in their own way. Had a colleague in Florida, for example, detained for 48 hours because he was "exporting illegal cryptographic technology". They then confiscated his laptop and all CDs and then let him go. Only place where they're relaxed is Venezuela. Then again that entire country is a fucking joke.
D for "fail", because although it's a cool story like Hellblazer suggested it misrepresents the cool Hellblazer inspired title.
