I really hate this show and I've never even seen it. I lived in NJ for 27 years and recently moved to Seattle, where everyone watches this show... so now I spend my whole day answering questions about whether or not it's accurate.

I'm depressed for society that this show even exists, people know it's horrible, they know watching it is going to turn them into idiots yet they still tune in? For a few of the beaches - that's the NY crowd in Seaside Heights.

Similar crowd, but mostly from Philly if you go to southern NJ in Wildwood.

Most other beaches are residential and laid back with locals and people that have a second house out there.
