Obama's not the only one inspiring Youtube videos...

That's hilarious. I'd never vote for McCain. Nor Obama for that matter. I don't dig McCain because of his amnesty policy (which he's now disowned.... how convenient), his opposition to tax cuts, and his overall hothead personality. While Obama appears and definitely speaks on a more presidential level--as the original video that the video above parodies clearly displays--I don't agree with his overall message. His message is CHANGE. Yes, we can (implement change). That's nice. But isn't this "new" message really just a warmed over version of the New Deal idea of "there's no problem GOVERNMENT can't fix"?
We've already seen the failure and bankruptcy of this ideology in the failed "war on poverty", in the vast maze of bureaucratic regulations, in the (right before Reagan) stifling taxes. Just as sure as we can't legislate morality (sorry, Huckabee), we can't federally legislate solutions to all of life's problems. And that's precisely all off Obama's talk of "change" and "hope" and YES WE CAN smacks of. It's just the old "New Deal" sporting a hoodie, bangs, and skating down a handrail being all "cool".
If we really want change, we have to go back. Back to basics. Back to the Constitution. Back to the idea of "YES I CAN". Yes, I can owe up to my problems and fix them MYSELF. Yes, I can take responsibility for my fuck ups. Yes, I can rely on myself and not blame others for my bad decisions. Yes, I am smart enough, strong enough to reach out to the farthest heights of my dreams and make them come true. In essence, the solution is in what America used to be--a nation of INDIVIDUALS... not interest groups, not demographics. But individuals. The power of REAL change is within us. Not the state. That's why it is important to roll back the imposition of state power upon private lives. To roll back the creeping mentality that INDIVIDUALS don't count--GROUPS do!
I believe in real CHANGE and in real HOPE. That's why there's only one candidate for me: RON PAUL.
